Middletown, New York. – Access: Supports for Living Foundation Inc. has formed its second Endowment at the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties to establish a Center of Learning for its staff and the community.

The Access Center for Education Endowment Fund “ACE Endowment” will provide funding to the Access Center for Education (ACE) to offer world class training to Access Employees and the Community through four distinct areas of concentration:  Mental Health and Substance Use expertise, skill development for Direct Support Professionals providing care to people with significant disabilities; Leadership, and Community Education.

“Our goal at Access has always been to provide compassionate, state of the art care to all the people we serve using a variety of evidence based methods, bringing the scientific knowledge of our field rapidly to our community. This Center of Excellence has long been a dream of our agency. It is our hope that the ACE Endowment in partnership with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan will provide another way for those who are passionate about our work to financially support the ongoing and evolving learning of our staff and community. It is one way we strive to live our mission to help people live the fullest lives possible, while building healthy communities”, said Amy Anderson-Winchell, LCSW, President of Access.

“Partnership with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan strengthens both of our missions.  We are thrilled to build this endowment in partnership with Elizabeth Rowley, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan and Michelle Hathaway, their Director of Development. Our goal is to raise five million dollars to ensure the longevity of ACE”, said Ron Colavito, MBA, CEO of Access.

“Access is a leader that consistently ensures the needs of the community are met swiftly.  As a donor, I believe the commitment of Access to provide ACE to both staff and the community solidifies our mission. I am pleased to have this endowment established with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan as a show of our commitment to the community”, said Nicholas Preddice, Chair of the Access: Supports for Living Foundation Board of Directors.

Elizabeth Rowley, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan offered this sentiment of support, “The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan is proud to partner with Access, an organization with deep roots in our community and a long history of helping people live healthy and productive lives.  We look forward to playing a role in this exciting new education and training opportunity for their employees and the community.”
